News Summary:

On June 12, 2026, Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Ajit Pawar called for the formation of a dedicated Governing Council to manage the Pune Grand Tour 2027, which will cover 1099 km across six stages, as the event prepares for an expanded second edition following its international status upgrade. Previously, on June 11, the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) published the list of TV broadcasters and streaming platforms for the 3rd and 4th rounds of the 2026 UCI BMX Racing World Cup, set to take place in Papendal, Netherlands, from June 13-14. Earlier, on June 9, SRAM, a manufacturer of cycling transmission systems, filed a competition complaint against UCI concerning the organization's maximum gearing technical standard, retaining Analysis Group Vice President Cyril Hariton for the case. This follows UCI's pledge on June 7 to support the development of the Pune Grand Tour, backing organizers' ambition to establish it as the world's fourth Grand Tour. The world governing body praised the inaugural edition and endorsed its long-term vision during a presentation to the UCI management committee in Lake Garda, Italy.
