Four of these disciplines, road, track, mountain bike, and BMX, are represented at the Olympic Games, while road and track are featured at the Paralympic Games, and road, mountain bike, and BMX are included in the Youth Olympic Games. News Summary:

On February 15, 2026, Kigali became a UCI Bike City, positioning the Rwandan capital for more major races and funding after it hosted the 2025 Road World Championships. Previously, on February 10, the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) signed a three-year partnership with British company CSE (Corporate & Sporting Events Management Limited), effective January 1, 2026, to manage accommodation and logistics for various UCI events through 2028. Earlier, on February 9, the UCI further reinforced the independence of its anti-doping program by delegating the prosecution of anti-doping violations and whereabouts failures to the International Testing Agency (ITA). This followed a February 5 decision by the UCI Anti-Doping Tribunal, which found Colombian rider Martha Bayona Pineda guilty of an anti-doping rule violation due to three whereabouts failures in a 12-month period and imposed an 18-month period of ineligibility. In early February, riders prepared for the 2026 UCI Snow Bike World Championships, which took place on February 7 in Châtel, France, marking the alpine venue's third consecutive year hosting the Super-G and dual slalom competitions.
